A Touch of Spain and Flavorful Tapas at Atlanta's Newest Restaurant

Tapas with bold flavor, tapas that are really filling and tapas that are just too good not to share. That’s what Atlanta’s newest restaurant, Buena Vida Tapas & Sol offers and in a prime location. Right across the street from the popular Ponce City Market and a quick walk from the Historic Fourth Ward Skate Park.

This restaurant might be in Atlanta, but when you step inside it feels like you’re in Spain. The aesthetic is right on point with what a unique dining experience should be. From the Spanish tiles that follow you up the stairs, to intricately painted ceilings downstairs, it’s a nice escape from the hustle and bustle of city life for a meal.

Buena Vida Tapas & Sol is having its grand opening this weekend! If you’re looking for a place to get lunch or dinner today, then look no further.

So the location and ambiance are great, what about the food? The food is SO good and it’s really filling! With a lot of other tapas restaurants, it feels like you have to order six or seven plates to get filled, but halfway through my second plate I was starting to tap out because it was that filling.

I tried the Torticas de Camaron (baby shrimp pancakes), Croquetas de Jamon Iberico (ham & gravy croqueta), and the Seville Hot Chicken (fried crispy chicken with brown sugar honey). Just thinking about them again is making me hungry. All three were delicious and unique in flavor and presentation. If I had to pick (they were all so good) my favorite one, it would be the Croquetas de Jamon Iberico.

For my vegan readers, Buena Vida Tapas & Sol also has a whole side of the menu dedicated to vegetable tapas. So it’s truly a win-win for meat eaters, vegans and vegetarians with plenty of options.

And last but not least, let’s talk about the gorgeous flower wall that’s perfect for a new Instagram photo. Who doesn’t love a good backdrop to spruce up your timeline? I mean look at this thing (pictured below). “Te quiero mucho” means I love you so much. So whether you take a selfie or snap a photo with your significant other, this flower wall has a lot of love in it for customers.
