Make a Mess and Leave with Art at The Splatter Studio in Atlanta
You know those movie scenes when someone lets all their anger out in a super dramatic fashion and we all leave the theatre thinking “That would be so much fun to do.” Luckily if you live in Atlanta or visit anytime soon, there’s a place that lets you live out those splatter paint dreams.
Whether you’re feeling stressed, in a creative mood or simply want to try something different to unwind, splatter painting is the perfect activity to fit whatever mood you’re in. You get to have fun making a mess and don’t have to worry about cleaning it up after.
The Splatter Studio is located at the front of Ponce City Market right in between The Forum and Mountain High Outfitters. When you arrive, the guide will offer you a poncho, goggles and booties (included with your reservation) or you can upgrade to a full body covering for $6. You’ll then be given a rundown of all the supplies provided which included different brushes, squirt bottles, a spray gun and an array of colors to choose from.

Now that you’re geared up, it’s time to give your blank canvas some color. If you’re nervous about jumping right in, you can test and experiment on the walls much as your heart desires. The studio allows up to eight people to book during each time slot and it’s very spaced out. Surprisingly no one else booked during my reservation, so we had the whole studio to ourselves.
The studio had the perfectly curated playlist playing in the background which was the cherry on top of an already great experience. The price per person ($50) is on the higher side for a date/fun night out, but I think it’s definitely worth it. Splattering painting isn’t something you do everyday and you get to go home with something that you created and put energy into. It’s the perfect experience to unwind, unplug, vibe and express yourself.
