Buckhead's St. Julep Rooftop Bar Gives Miami Vibes with ‘70s Decor
Atlanta’s rooftop bar scene has really taken off lately and I’m here for it. No matter how much you love the city, it’s always nice to get a break from the hustle and bustle and escape. From Virtue Rooftop and the Drawbar in Midtown, to now Buckhead’s newest spot, St. Julep. The rooftop bar at the new Kimpton Hotel gives Miami vibes and the perfect change of scenery.
St. Julep has a ‘70s feel with warm colors and funky decor throughout the entire space. When you first walk in, it’s easy to get the impression that there’s only one sitting area by the bar, but there’s so much more. St. Julep has two bars, one inside and one outside on the rooftop. On your way to the outside bar, there’s a lengthy walkway with plenty of seating and gorgeous views of Buckhead.
St. Julep offers specialty hand-crafted cocktails with fun names like Hey Ya! and Southern Rose. Their menu has small bites featuring corndogs, tater tots and popcorn to snack on while you drink. They also have spiked soft serve which you can get in a cup or cone.
If you’re hungrier than what their menu offers, I suggest eating somewhere close like Buckhead Village (Shake Shack, Iberian Pig) before and then walking over. It was a short, ten minute walk and parking was only $5. Otherwise the hotel has valet which is also $5.
I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a quick taste of paradise in the city. The atmosphere is great, along with the service and music they played. I’ll definitely be back!
