Serena Pastificio Opens in Revamped Colony Square
There’s so much to love about the newly revamped Colony Square in Midtown Atlanta. From an upscale food hall in Politan Row, to free yoga on the square, and now an authentic Italian restaurant, Serena Pastificio.
Before you even step into the restaurant, you’ll walk by the outdoor patio and get a glimpse of the beautifully decorated restaurant waiting for you. Once you’re inside, it’s hard to put into words just how incredible the design and ambiance of the place. It’s one of those things you really have to experience for yourself. Serena Pastificio might be located in Atlanta, but it’s easy to get the feeling of being transported to Italy.
Everything on their menu is made in-house and from scratch daily. Some of the chef’s favorites include fettucine alla bolognese, burrata, and veal milanese just to name a few. They bring out fresh focaccia bread accompanied by three different dipping options (olive oil, whipped butter, and a fresh tasting green colored puree).
I started out with the cocktail “germanicus” which was basically like a spiked lemonade and was really good. The calamari (calamari e carciofi fritti) was the perfect starter and came with a dipping sauce that took it to another level. If you’re a lobster fan, you should definitely order the lobster ravioli (mezzelune di aragosta) for your entree.
The next time you’re craving pasta, I highly recommend making a reservation at Serena Pastifico and experiencing all they have to offer. Your time at Colony Square doesn’t have to end after you’ve eaten dinner. Catch a movie at IPIC Theatre after or grab a popsicle from King of Pops, both just steps away from Serena Pastificio. Bonus: IPIC ACCESS members receive 10% off food and drinks.
